Our
Process
Typically, our customers include general contractors,
construction managers, and various state DOT agencies
that supply us with detailed project design blueprint
specifications to implement. We initially examine customer
designs to determine specific structural component, connection,
and welding requirements for each job in accordance with
AISC manual codes and regulations to meet blueprint specifications.
After determining requirements, specifications are entered
into CAD design software and other software tools that
facilitate transfer of CNC operation code for precision
machining on our shop floors. The next step involves machining
steel plates for constituent steel structural components,
which includes cutting, drilling, punching, and tapping
machine operations. Unfinished parts are further welded
and assembled as required, and finally sent to our finishing
operations, sandblast and paint.
When the manufacture of the required structural components
is complete, we ensure that our finished materials are
transported to the work site and that any necessary in-transit
permits are obtained.
Our Slogan
Our company slogan is "Steel is Beautiful." We take pride
in what we manufacture not only as a utilitarian work,
but as a work of art. Each piece of artwork starts with
the main ingredient, pure domestic steel with our own
signature of craftsmanship machined into each structural
component.
Our Commitment
MC Iron Works is committed to using only domestic-made
steel whenever and wherever possible in all of our projects.
Our commitment stems from the deep appreciation we have
for what American workers in the iron and steel industries
have done for our country, building our nation's strength
on their backs. We are especially proud that we are a
part of the rich local history in the iron and steel industry
that has thrived in the Lehigh Valley for over 150 years.
We believe it is not only our commitment but it is our
duty to honor our past and to support our present economy
through the use of domestic raw materials. We further
support our nation not just through our company policies,
but have also answered the call when our country needed
us. When America called, MC Iron Works was there...
